Jesperson Commits to UVA

Paul Jesperson (6'6, 185 lb small forward out of Merrill High School in Merrill, WI) is a member of the 2011 recruiting class and has given a verbal committment to the Virginia Cavaliers for the 2011-12 basketball season.

Jesperson is a knock-down perimeter shooter who is a four-year varsity performer at Merrill for coach Kurt Soderberg. He averaged 21 pts. per game as a junior while leading the Bluejays to a 20-6 record.

Jesperson selected Virginia over offers from Arizona State, Arkansas, Butler, Colorado State, Green Bay, Iowa, Loyola, Milwaukee, Minnesota, North Dakota State, Northern Iowa, Northwestern, Notre Dame, San Diego, South Dakota State and Vanderbilt, among others.
