Lance Stephenson Could Miss Season Opener Tonight

Lance Stephenson, the 6'6 combo guard out of Brooklyn, NY could miss his team's season opener tonight with a sprained ankle. The NY Daily News is reporting that he injured the ankle last Friday in a scrimmage game against Bishop Loughlin. Stephenson, widely considered to be the top player in the Class of 2009 plays for Lincoln High School (the same school that produced current NBA players Stephon Marbury and Sebastian Telfair). He averaged 26 points and 10 boards last year and was the Daily News POY as a freshman and sophomore. Lincoln opens up the season tonight with a game against Jefferson.
