John Jenkins, a 6'4, 175 lb shooting guard out of Station Camp High School in Gallatin, TN. will attend Vanderbilt and play basketball for the Commodores beginning in the fall of 2009. Jenkins ends his senior season averaging 42.3 points per game and his 3,192 career points ranks 10th on the state's all-time list, according to the The Tennessean. Jenkins was named the Tennessean Boys High School Player of the Year after leading the nation in scoring with his 42.3 points per outing. Get this, he did not score below 30 points in a single game during his senior season at Station Camp High. He looks to put the ball in the basket at every opportunity and this kid can really fill it up in bunches, he once scored 60 points during the season in a double overtime game. Jenkins really favors putting the ball on the floor and getting to the basket. He puts a huge amount pressure on the defense due to his aggressive attacking nature on offense.
