Last week, we reported that Derrick Williams (6'7 PF,La Mirada, CA) had been granted a release from his scholarship at USC amid the resignation of head coach Tim Floyd. Sources close to the situation are saying that Arizona and Memphis are the frontrunners in the recruiting battle. He also is considering Connecticut, UCLA, Gonzaga, Arizona State, Miami, Fresno State and Nevada.
