Steven Shepp, a 6'1, 180 lb point guard out of Woodbridge, VA., by way of JUCO Allegany College of Maryland in Maryland, has committed to play basketball for Fresno State this Fall. Shepp's signing to Fresno State adds some excitement to the Bulldogs fan base because the Bulldogs will have a new point guard to be hopeful about especially after abruptly losing point guard Reggie Moore last summer. While at Allegany College, Shepp averaged 12 points, 7 dimes, 5 boards and 2 cookies per game, those stats helped Shepp lead that led his team to the JUCO Nationals by winning the Maryland state JUCO tournament last season. He led the Trojans in the NJCAA Region 20 by distributing the ball efficiently, running a dynamic offense and exhibiting exceptional leadership characteristics. Shepp is quick, a good ballhandler and he jumps well for a player of his size, he is also an excellent distributor. I am willing to bet that head Bulldog Steve Cleveland is thrilled to add point guard Steven Shepp to his roster for the upcoming 2009-10 season.
