Marquis Rankin (6'0, 170 lb. point guard out of Zebulon B. Vance High School in Charlotte, NC) has verbally committed to Virginia Tech for the 2011-12 basketball season. Rankin is unafraid to take it to the tin at any time against anybody. Rankin is extremely quick and can run the break very well. He has terrific handles and it is obvious that point guard is his natural position.
Marquis held multiple offers including Clemson, South Carolina, N.C. State and Wake Forest, among others.
