Carlton Geathers (6'10, 260 lb. center out of Carvers Bay High School in Hemingway, SC) has verbally committed to the Gamecocks for the 2010-11 basketball season. Carlton has only been playing for 3 years now, so it may require a bit of work but a red-shirt season will definitely benefit him in order to get in shape with a good weight training program and practice against some higher quality opponents in his teammates his first year.
