Bishop Gorman Senior Johnathan Loyd Commits to Oregon

Johnathan Loyd (5'9, 155 lb. point guard out of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, NV.) has committed to the Oregon Ducks for the 2010-11 basketball season. Loyd is exceptionally quick and fast, Loyd is well-suited to an up-tempo offense -- he's a true point guard who will win over fans and teammates alike. As a senior, Loyd led the Gaels to a 30-2 record and a second straight Class 4A state championship, averaging 14 pts., 8 dimes and 3 cookies.

Loyd led Bishop Gorman to 102 victories in four years, earning Nevada Gatorade Player of the Year honors as a senior and being named 2009-10 Class 4A Boys Basketball Player of the Year by the Las Vegas Review Journal. Loyd chose the Ducks over UNLV, Northwestern and George Washington.
