Davante Gardner (6'9, 285 lb. center out of King's Fork High School in Suffolk, VA.) has committed to the Marquette Golden Eagles for the 2010-11 basketball season. Gardner led South Hampton Roads Group AAA players with 23 pts. per game. He averaged 13 boards and 3 blocks as the Bulldogs won Southeastern District regular-season and tournament titles.
Gardner chose the Golden Eagles after also drawing recruiting interest from South Florida, VCU, Georgetown and Maryland.
