Player Spotlight: PF. Marcus Thorton

Marcus Thorton (6'7, 215 lb. power forward out of Westlake High School in Atlanta, GA.) is a member of the 2010 recruiting class, he was previously committed to Clemson but was granted a release to open up his recruitment once more. He is now considering Kentucky, Georgia, Texas, and Alabama. Thornton averaged 24 pts, 12 boards and 4 blocked shots per game last season. Marcus compiled career stats that included more than 1,500 points, 1,000 rebounds and 3 final 4 appearances for one of the toughest high school classifications in the country. More importantly, he also has a 3.7 GPA.
