Dre Evans (5'10, 160 lb point guard out of Carter High School in Dallas Texas) has committed the Providence Friars for the 2010-11 basketball season. Evans has good quickness, a long with a great work ethic and he is a terrific leader. He averaged 22 pts and 5 dimes per game last season in route to being named All-Region and All-District 11 in his senior season. Evans also was ranked as the 19th best senior in Texas in 2010 by the Texas Basketball Report.
