Tyrone Johnson (6'3, 185 lb. point guard out of Plainfield High School in Plainfield, NJ.) is a member of the 2011 recruiting class and has verbally committed to the Villanova Wildcats for the 2011-12 basketball season.
Johnson averaged 19 pts, 5 boards, 3 dimes and 2 cookies per game in leading his Plainfield team to a 26-4 record, a sectional championship and into the finals of the NJSIAA Group 4 and Union County tournaments.
Johnson chose Villanova over Rutgers and Georgetown.
