Durand Johnson (6'7, 190 lb shooting guard out of Brewster Academy in N.H., by way of Baltimore, MD) has verbally committed to the Pittsburgh Panthers for the 2011-12 basketball season. Johnson’s size and versatility will allow him to play either the shooting guard or small forward positions in college. He should have no trouble defending either position, and he flat-out knows how to score with the pill
Johnson chose the Panthers over Big East rivals Seton Hall, Marquette, St. John's and Louisville.
