Bolden stays close to home

Chris Bolden (6'3, 180 lb. combo guard out of North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, GA. by way of Norcross, GA.,) has committed to Georgia Tech for the 2012-13 basketball season.

Bolden was originally committed to Miami before his Junior season. He decided to re-open his recruiting after Frank Haith left the Hurricanes to take over as head coach of Missouri. Last season as a Junior, Bolden averaged 15 pts., while leading Norcross High School to the state championship in Georgia’s largest classification. Bolden scored the game-winning points, sinking four consecutive foul shots, in the 59-55 win over Milton in the Class AAAAA championship.

Bolden is a consistent scorer from various spots on the floor. He can hurt the defense in multiple ways with his ability to knock down shots and if you crowd him, he can get to the rim for the finish.

Bolden picked Georgia Tech over offers from South Carolina, Virginia Tech, USC, Boston College, Miami, Ole Miss, and Harvard.
