Andre Drummond (6'11, 275 lb. center out of St. Thomas More School in Middletown, CT.) has decided to attend UConn this season over going to preparatory school at Wilbraham & Monson Academy in Wilbraham, Mass., for one more season, which would have allowed him to become eligible for the 2012 NBA Draft under the current NBA collective bargaining agreement.
Look for Drummond to contribute immediately under the direction of head coach, Jim Calhoun and his staff. Drummond doesn't dominate as he should for a player his size. He needs to refine his post moves, become more disciplined on defense and show that he is interested in being on the floor. All that he does well, can be done better.
Drummond selected UConn over, Kentucky, Louisville, Georgetown and West Virginia.
