Derrick Walton Jr. (6'0, 165 lb. point guard out of Chandler Park Academy in Harper Woods, MI., by way of Detroit, MI.,) is a member of the 2013 basketball recruiting class and he has committed to Michigan, beginning the Fall of 2013.
Walton is the definition of a true point guard. He has a tight handle on the pill, finds teammates in the open floor, as well as in the half court game. Walton averaged 20 pts. and 8 dimes a game this past season at Chandler Park.
Michigan State, Notre Dame, Purdue, and UConn were all recruiting Walton before he opted to go to Michigan.
