Archie Goodwin (6'5, 181 lb. shooting guard out of Sylvan Hills High School in Sherwood, AR.,) has committed to Kentucky for the 2012-13 basketball season.
As a Junior at Sylvan Hills, Goodwin lead the Bears to a 27-3 mark and reached the Class 5A State Championship game, while pouring in 28 pts. per outing. In the process, he earned several state player of the year honors.
Kentucky has inherited a smooth player in Goodwin. He can put the ball on the floor, shoot the 3, and he hits the mid-range shot off of the dribble as well as anyone in the class of 2012. At times, it looks as if the games comes easy to him.
He chose Kentucky over Arkansas, and Memphis.
