Eric Atkins, a 6-foot, 170-pound junior guard from Mount Saint Joseph High School in Maryland averaged 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists last season. Eric has made the Notre Dame basketball coaching staff aware that he plans to play for the Fighting Irish in the 2010 season. Atkins chose Notre Dame over Massachusetts, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
