DeMario Mayfield Commits To Georgia Basketball For 2009.

DeMario Mayfield, the 6'3, 190 lb point guard out of Franklin County High School in Carnesville, GA., has comitted to play basketball at the University of Georgia beginning the 2009-10 season. DeMario is long, athletic and versatile. This kid can be equally comfortable and effective with or without the ball on offense. His size and versatility should provide the Bulldogs with many options during the course of this upcoming season. Get this, DeMario also has the ability to be a tough, tough defender when applying on the ball pressure. Mayfield has a tremendous work ethic, and is what we call a true "gym rat". If his schedule permits, he can be found in the gym working on his game every day. He is more a scorer now than a pure shooter. He does have good dribble-drive moves, and an effective medium range game. With all the attributes that he brings to the table should get him significant minutes as a collegiate freshman at his future school, the University of Georgia.
