Drew Crawford commits to Northwestern.

Drew Crawford, a 6'5, 185 lb shooting guard out of Naperville Central High School in Naperville, IL., has committed to Northwestern University to play basketball in the 2009-10 season. As a senior, the 6'5 guard broke out and emerged as a Player of the Year candidate. In leading his team to a 25-2 start, 6-0 in the DVC, Crawford averaged 23 points and 8.5 rebounds during that stretch. He needs to improve his handle on the pill in order to be able to attack from the wings more often. He has solid length and should be a decent perimeter defender. He can play inside and outside but will probably be used more on the perimeter for the Wildcats. Check this, his father, Danny Crawford, is a highly regarded veteran NBA official.
