Joe Burton, a 6'7, 255 lb Center out of West Valley High School in Hemet, CA., will attend Oregon State University this Fall to play basketball for the Beavers. This kid is huge, he reminds me of former LSU standout Glen Davis - huge, but he carries his weight very well on the court. He has soft hands around the basket and his passing skills are extraordinary for a big fella. He does not have great bounce off of the floor, but he is a solid rebounder and his outlet passes come out of his hands quickly, which help set up easy transition baskets. Look for this kid to slim down some upon his arrival in Corvallis -- he should make a good fit for the Beavers in the 2009-10 season.
