Mfon Udofia, a 6'2, 180 lb point guard out of Miller Grove High School in Stone Mountain, GA., will attend Georgia Tech University this Fall to play basketball for the Yellow Jackets. He has superior quickness in transition and is able to get past defenders with ease. Udofia has a solid understanding of how to run a team and he does a nice job of getting his teammates the ball in places that will set them up for a bucket. It is important that point guards have very good leadership qualities and communication skills on the floor -- which is a strength of Udofia. It seems to me that Georgia Tech is like point guard "U." They've had Kenny Anderson, Stephon Marbury, Jarrett Jack, and Javaris Crittenton come through that program in the past. All of the aforementioned guards have made solid contributions both at Tech and in the NBA. I look forward to seeing what Udofia will bring to the hardwood this upcoming season.
