Joey Brooks is headed to Notre Dame.

Joey Brooks, a 6'5, 205 Small Forward out of Strake Jesuit College Prep in Houston, TX., will attend the University of Notre Dame this Fall to play basketball for the Fighting Irish. Joey is an extremely athletic perimeter player who has the ability to be a slasher, getting to the basket when he feels his team needs a basket, and to top it all off he has a high basketball IQ and has a great feel and understanding for the game. Brooks does a good job drawing fouls by his body once he gets into the air. Brooks is a solid rebounder and is capable of being a multiple position defender because of size, strength, athletic ability to go along with that high basketball I.Q. that I mentioned earlier. This kid will be a nice fit within the Big East conference and the physicallity that it is known for.
