Donte Medder, a 6'1, 190 lb point guard out of Mesa High School in Mesa, AZ., will attend the University of Tulsa this Fall to play basketball during the 2009-10 season. Medder was a three-year letterwinner and two-year starter at Mesa (Ariz.) High School. As a senior, Medder averaged 23 points, 5 dimes, 4 boards and 3 cookies. He shot 47-percent from the field and 35-percent from three-point range in leading his team to a 15-10 record. He also converted 79 percent from the charity stripe during his senior season. During his high school career, Medder totaled 1,032 points in his three seasons. Donte is a flat out scorer who can get to the rim at will, shoot the three-pointer and he also gets to the free throw line several times a game. He's great in transition and he excels in the halfcourt game as well.
