Providence received their first verbal commitment from the Class of 2010 when 6'3 SG Gerard Coleman (West Roxbury, MA) decided he would play for the Friars next fall. Coleman is extremely quick off the dribble and is great at absorbing contact and finishing. He's also a threat in transition and a very good on the ball defender. If he can improve on his trey ball and mid-range game, he will be a tough player to stop on the collegiate level. Coleman chose Providence over UConn and Clemson.
