Bulls get "09" commitment from 6-foot-4 shooting guard.

Shaun Noriega, the 6'4, 195 lb shooting guard out of North Port High School in North Port, FL., is headed to Tampa, FL. to play basketball for the University of South Florida this Fall. Shaun Noriega comes from an athletic family, his father Gilberto was a professional boxer in Mexico; his older brother is a golf pro in Naples. Noriega ended his career at North Port with a school record 1,952 career points and he averaged 20 points, 3 boards, 3 dimes and 1 cookie per game. Noriega is a three point specialist, with range from deep. He has good size and strength and those two characteristics make up for his lack of athleticism. His bread and butter is coming off screens in catch and shoot situations, but he has no problem getting his mid-range shot off coming from one or two bounces. Several coaches would love to have a player that they can count upon when zone is being played -- this kid will shoot opposing teams out of zone defenses on a regular basis.
