Matt Derenbecker Commits To LSU

Matt Derenbecker (6'6, 180lb-) has verbally committed to play basketball for the LSU Tigers. The small forward out of Metairie, LA can flat out light it up with his jump shot. He's a zone defense's worst nightmare because of his ability to shoot the ball so well. He's also very effective when coming off of screens and on the pull-up. Derenbecker is solid on the boards and is a decent ball handler and passer. He should be a nice addition for the program. Derenbecker also considered Tulane, Ole Miss, Oklahoma St., and Wichita St.
