JUCO guard Aaron Holmes picks Tulane.

Aaron Holmes, a 6'5, 195 lb shooting guard out of St. Petersburg, FL., by way of Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, FL. will attend Tulane University this Fall to play basketball for the Green Wave. Holmes originally signed with Florida State out of high school, but transferred to South Florida following his first semester. After sitting out one full year due to NCAA transfer rules, he played in 18 conference games with the Bulls, but left USF after the 2007-08 campaign due to a coaching change. Holmes was enrolled at Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, Fla., and will have two years of eligibility remaining. Aaron has been a proven player both in high school and in college. Although his situation sounds a bit turbulent, he is a very talented and outstanding basketball player -- he is a gym rat and a very hard worker both in practice and outside of practice. Tulane's head coach Dave Dickerson and his staff should be excited to have a player of Holmes' caliber coming to their program.
