Jeronne Maymon, a 6'6, 235 lb Small Forward out of James Madison Memorial High School in Madison, WI., has committed to play basketball for Marquette University this Fall, beginning the 2009-10 season. Maymon is strong, athletic and most often is in attack mode. Maymon is a physical combination forward that will finish above the rim with power in transition. He uses his body well to drive by defenders, and he loves to score mostly going to his right to get to the rim. Maymon also shoots the mid range pull up off the dribble. On defense Maymon is alert and does a good job of honoring man and ball principles. He also is very good at anticipating the next pass and coming up with key steals. His toughness and competitiveness will make him a contributor at Marquette as a freshman.

The kid is a monster. He reminds me of the type of athletic big men Huggy bear used to recruit to Cincy. Like Danny Fortson, et. al. And with a mid-range game to boot.
Should be fun to watch.
