Jimmy "V" Valvano Week!

5in60 would like to take the time to pay homage to the late great Jimmy Valvano, and the tremendous foundation that bears his name, while carrying on his legacy. ESPN has devoted an entire week to his memory. We weren't fortunate enough to meet Jimmy, but his story has touched us in ways that we can't express. We send our continual prayers out to the Valvano family and to all families that have lost someone to cancer.

The speech below is one that Valvano gave back in March of 1993. At an adolescent age, this was one of the greatest speeches we had ever heard growing up. And now, almost 17 years later, it's still one of the most relevant speeches ever.
