Meet Tarik Black! The Memphis Tigers have received yet another commitment from a hometown kid to add to their already stacked 2010 recruiting class. Black is listed at a 6'8, 230 lb power forward out of Ridgeway High School in Memphis, TN., and is thought of as a beast that knows how to play the power forward position quite well. There is absolutely nothing he can’t do for his position -- he is always in position to rebound the ball on almost every possession, defensively and offensively. Black can give opposing low post defenders "fits" in the painted area of the floor with his amazing strength and defensive prowess. With Tarik's ability to swat shots, his Memphis teammates should have the opportunity to start the uptempo game, which has been a part of Memphis' system in recent years. Look for Memphis to make a run at a "Chip" next year with this kid on board.
