Lazeric Jones, a 6'2, 205 lb point guard out of John A. Logan Community College in Illinois by way of Cartiville, IL., gave a verbal commitment over the weekend to join Head Coach Ben Howland and the UCLA Bruins during the 2010-11 basketball season. Jones is regarded as one of the best juco players at his position in the nation and also has been pursued by Wisconsin. He will help bolster a thin backcourt for the Bruins next season. Jones is a strong and physical guard who excels not only with his ability to score, but also with his ball-distribution skills, and his ability to dictate the tempo of a game. I believe this kid will come to campus looking to contribute immediately.
