Welcome to Vanderbilt, James Siakam

James Siakam (6'6, 210 lb. power forward out of Brehm Prep in Carbondale, IL.) is a native of Cameroon and has committed to the Vanderbilt Commodores for the 2010-11 basketball season. Siakam was originally a part of the 2011 recruiting class, but he found out he had enough credits to graduate early, thus making himself apart of the 2010 recruiting class. While he may be a bit undersized as a power forward, he more than compensates for that by the fact that he plays hard from start to finish. Siakam is a ferocious rebounder and an outstanding athlete who finishes with authority on the break, and can put the ball on the floor from the 15" foot area on the court. He averaged 18 pts., 10 boards and 5 blocks a game this past season.

James Siakam also considered Illinois, Marquette, Florida and UCLA.
