Sterling Gibbs (6'1, 180 lb. point guard out of Seton Hall Preparatory School in Scotch Plains, NJ.) is a member of the 2011 recruiting class and he has given a verbal commitment to the Maryland Terrapins for the 2011-12 basketball season. If Sterling works hard, he'll be able to come in and get a lot of playing time as a true freshman. He is a pure point guard, that can score when needed. Gary Williams and his coaching staff will be receiving a really good kid, that is humble and up to the challenge when it comes to hard-work.
Gibbs chose the Terrapins over Seton Hall, Rutgers, Indiana, Wake Forest, Pittsburgh, Florida, Virginia and St. John’s.
