Rakeem Christmas Commits to Syracuse

Rakeem Christmas (6'9, 220 lb. power forward out of Academy of the New Church in Philadelphia, PA.) is a member of the 2011 class and has committed to the Syracuse Orangemen for the 2011-12 basketball season. Christmas will make an immediate impact for Boeheim's squad due to his size, skill, talent and great upside. He is a true power forward who is a mobile athlete, a tremendous shot-blocker and he can score in the painted area of the floor. Plus, he has the ability to put it on the floor and drive to the cup from the free-throw line extended.

Christmas chose Syracuse over Georgetown, Florida, Florida International, Oklahoma and Rutgers.
