D'Angelo Harrison (6'3, 180 lb. shooting guard out of John Foster Dulles High in Missouri City, TX.,) has verbally committed to St. John's for the 2011-12 basketball season.
Harrison was the Houston Chronicle's District 23 Player of the Year in the highest classification after averaging 21 pts., 5 boards and 4 dimes last year as his team went 30-7.
Harrison is tough to guard on the offensive end of the floor. He is constantly in attack mode and he can make shots from just about anywhere on the floor -- he has unbelievable range.
Harrison was being recruited by Oklahoma State, Marquette, and Baylor before committing to St. John's.
