Mikael Hopkins (6'11, 210 lb. power forward out of DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, MD.) has verbally committed to the Georgetown Hoyas for the 2011-12 basketball season.
Hopkins, picked the Hoyas after considering Maryland, Virginia Tech, Miami, West Virginia, Texas and Ohio State.
Hopkins brings Coach Thompson III a versatile front line guy that can play both the power forward and center positions -- he rebounds, blocks shots and can score around the painted area of the floor.
