Kevin Pangos (6'1, 175 lb. point guard out of Denison Secondary School in Newmarket, Ont., CAN.) has verbally committed to the Gonzaga Bulldogs for the 2011-12 basketball season.
The first time that 5in60.com heard about Pangos, he was being compared to another great Canadian by the name of Steve Nash -- and the comparisons have not ceased yet and if I were you, I wouldn't expect them to either. Check this, Pangos averaged 15 pts. per outing in the FIBA U-17 games, he was named the top point guard in the tournament and he was also the youngest Canadian to ever compete in a senior Men’s International game -- Kevin fits the bill in terms of a pure and big time point guard.
Pangos chose the Bulldogs over offers from Boston College, UNLV, Cincinnati, Portland and Michigan to name a few.
