Sampson Will Join the Red Storm

Jakarr Sampson (6'8, 200 lb. small forward out of Brewster Academy High School in MA. by way of Akron, OH.) has verbally committed to St. John's for the 2011-12 basketball season.

Sampson is a talented and versatile forward who excels on the break and off the dribble. He is a good rebounder and he can defend multiple positions on the floor.

He chose St. John's over Louisville, Tennessee and Baylor.
