Sterling Gibbs (6'1, 180 lb. point guard out of Seton Hall Preparatory School in Scotch Plains, NJ.) was once committed to Maryland for the 2011-12 basketball season but has since been granted a release and is reevaluating his options for now.
Maryland is still very much a part of the process along with Florida, Seton Hall, Louisville, Providence, Miami and Texas, among others.
