Texas lands New Orleans point guard

Javan Felix (5'11, 190 lb. point guard out of Saint Augustine High School in New Orleans, LA.,) has committed to Texas for the 2012-13 basketball season.

Felix is a true point point guard. He is a "pass-first" type of player with exceptional quickness and court vision that often contributes to easy buckets for himself and his teammates. He has a great feel for the game along with the ability to orchestrate an offense -- two characteristics that that are difficult to find in young point guards.

Felix selected Texas over Baylor, LSU, Oregon and Virginia.
